OUR CRUISER FRIEND, JAMES SPILLER, PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 6, 2006 AFTER A BATTLE WITH LUNG CANCER. When good men die, their goodness does not perish. --Euripides
I wish all of you to know that Jimmy, as we knew him in the family, considered all of you to be his family as well. Whether or not you knew it, Jimmy "found" himself when he joined your car club; it became his passion and he talked incessantly about his exploits. After viewing your website, I have no doubt about your love for him, and I am certain that he is looking down upon all of us longing for the cruises that he participated in, while knowing that those he was a part of brought him the greatest of joy with the greatest of friends. To us, we are happy knowing that you cared so much for him and allowed him to live his life in a manner that brought him great joy, peace and happiness. As far as we're concerned, you were not his friends; rather, you were his "family" as well. As he was my brother, so was he yours. We thank you on his, and our, behalf, for simply being the good people that you are.

"The Bible says that all who are in Christ will be together in Heaven, "And so we will be with the Lord forever" (1 Thessalonians 4:17). You may recall that when Jesus was transfigured or changed before the eyes of some of His disciples, they saw Him in His heavenly glory. But they also saw "Moses and Elijah (who) appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus" (Luke 9:30-31). Although the appearance of these two men was different in Heaven, they still could be recognized. So will we in Heaven."

Some words of Comfort and Hope from the Book of John: 16:16 "After a little while you will not see me, and then after a little while you will see me again."
And from Ecclesiastes 8: 8:14 Sometimes something useless happens on earth. Bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people. I say that this is also useless. 8:15 So I decided it was more important to enjoy life. The best that people can do here on earth is to eat, drink, and enjoy life, because these joys will help them do the hard work God gives them here on earth. 8:16 I tried to understand all that happens on earth. I saw how busy people are, working day and night and hardly ever sleeping. 8:17 I also saw all that God has done. Nobody can understand what God does here on earth. No matter how hard people try to understand it, they cannot. Even if wise people say they understand, they cannot; no one can really understand it. And Ecclesiastes 9: 9:7 So go eat your food and enjoy it; drink your wine and be happy, because that is what God wants you to do.
